Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit www.daguteck.com or send us an enquiry, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be readable rather than exhaustive — if anything is unclear, ask us and we will answer in plain language.
1.Who we are
Wuhan Dagu Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. ("Dagu Intelligent", "we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We design, manufacture and export optical transceivers, fiber patch cords, AOC/DAC assemblies and network switches, and we operate this website to receive and answer commercial enquiries from business customers.
For privacy questions or to exercise any right described below, contact our sales desk — the address and phone number are shown on our Contact page and in the footer of every page.
2.What personal data we collect
We keep collection to a minimum. Two categories only:
- Enquiry data you send us directly: your name, company name, business email, phone / WhatsApp number, country or region, the product line you are interested in, your requirements message, and the page you submitted the form from. Fields marked with an asterisk are required; the rest are optional.
- Site usage data collected automatically: a randomly generated visitor ID and session ID stored in your browser's local storage, the page path and title you viewed, the referring page, campaign parameters (UTM source / medium / campaign), your device type, operating system, browser, screen resolution, language, time zone and the country inferred from that time zone, plus a timestamp.
3.What we do NOT collect
- We do not store your IP address.
- We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party analytics such as Google Analytics.
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not use your enquiry data for automated decision-making or profiling.
4.Why we process your data, and on what legal basis
Where you have given consent — for example by ticking the consent box on our enquiry form — you may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
- To answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and perform pre-contractual steps at your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep records of commercial correspondence and to comply with accounting, tax and export-control record-keeping obligations (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).
- To understand which pages and products our visitors look at so we can improve the site — our legitimate interest in operating a business website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Because we only use a random local identifier and never an IP address, this statistics function is not used to single out an individual.
5.Local storage on your device
We store a random visitor ID and a session ID in your browser's local storage so that repeat views of the same page within a short window are counted once, and so we can tell returning visits apart from new ones. These identifiers contain no name, email or other direct identifier.
You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser's site data or local storage for this domain; the identifiers will simply be re-created on your next visit.
6.Who we share data with
We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. It is processed by:
- Our own sales and engineering staff, who need it to answer your enquiry;
- Our cloud hosting and database provider, which stores the enquiry records and site statistics on our behalf under a processing arrangement;
- Professional advisers, auditors or public authorities where we are legally required to disclose it.
7.International transfers
We are established in the People's Republic of China and the data described here is stored on infrastructure located in China. If you contact us from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, your data will therefore be transferred outside your home jurisdiction. We rely on the transfer mechanisms available under applicable law and apply appropriate safeguards; you may request a copy of the relevant safeguards by writing to us.
8.How long we keep data
- Enquiry records: kept while the commercial relationship is active and for the period required by applicable accounting, tax and export-control rules. You may ask us to delete an enquiry earlier (see below).
- Site statistics: kept in aggregate form for trend reporting; the underlying records are retained for a limited period and then pruned.
9.Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the law that applies to you, you may:
- request confirmation of whether we process your data, and a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected or incomplete data completed;
- request deletion of your data, or restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent you have given, at any time;
- receive your data in a portable format where technically feasible;
- lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority.
If you are in the People's Republic of China, you have corresponding rights of access, correction, deletion, explanation of processing rules and withdrawal of consent under the Personal Information Protection Law. To exercise any of these rights, email the address on our Contact page; we will respond within the statutory period and will never charge you for making a request.
10.Security
Enquiry data is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in a database protected by access controls and authentication. Access is limited to staff who need it to answer enquiries, and the administration area is password protected. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as completely secure, but we take measures proportionate to the nature of the data.
11.Children
This website is a business-to-business site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
12.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the current version; material changes will be announced on this page.
